Auschwitz-Birkenau - Outlying Sub-camps
This page addresses some of the outlying sub-camps of the Auschwitz complex - camps outside the immediate Auschwitz-Birkenau-Monowitz area, but that were administered as sub-camps by the Auschwitz camp command and control (from November 1943, administered by the Monowitz camp). In total there were some 47 Auschwitz sub-camps with over 35,000 inmates in January 1945 (Ref. 5, page 171).
